Notching season’s best scores for their short program, free skate and total score, the Lexettes earned 183.46 points en route to their silver medal. They finished second in both the short program and free skate.
Skating to “Prologue” by Woodkid, the 2023 U.S. junior bronze medalists earned 115.76 points for their free skate, more than 13 points higher than their previous international best. They opened with a strong Level 4 move element followed by Level 4 line and traveling element. In total, they collected six Level 4 calls.
In the short program, the Lexettes collected 67.70 points with their “on golden pond” themed performance. They received Level 4 marks for their no hold, move element, intersection and point of intersection, and twizzle element.
The Massachusetts-based team has now won three Challenger Series medals since the series launched.
The Fond du Lac Blades, skating in their first international event of the season, earned a total score of 162.25 to finish sixth in the competition. They placed fifth in the free skate with a 105.10-point Lady Gaga program that included Level 4s for their traveling element, line, synchronized spins and move element.
