Arun Yogiraj Sculpted Ram Lalla’s Idol For Ayodhya Temple
Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, who sculpted Ram Lalla idol which has been recently installed at the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya, shared pictures of special equipments he used to carve the deity’s divine eyes
The image shared by the renowned sculptor shows a silver hammer kept on an individual’s palm with a thin gold chisel beside it.
Notably, the 51-inch Ram Lalla’s idol, which now sits in the ‘sanctum sanctorum’ of the newly-inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, has been carved out of an azure-coloured Krishna Shila (Black Schist) and the eyes have been chiselled from shyam shila (blue-black stone).
With bow and arrow, the idol of Lord Ram was installed at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 18 and the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony took place on January 22.
