Sarah Lavin storms to gold at National Indoor Championship

Sarah Lavin crosses the finish line to win the senior women’s 60m hurdles

You don’t get to the level Sarah Lavin has without holding yourself to a high standard, and that’s exactly what the sprint hurdles star did after powering to gold on day one of the 123.ie National Indoor Championships in Abbotstown on Saturday.

In a season of remarkable consistency, the 29-year-old turned in another crisp display to win the 60m hurdles title in 7.91, equalling the PB she set in Kazakhstan last month. It brought the Emerald AC athlete home well clear of Molly Scott (8.31).
