Birmingham-based SME finance broker Navigate Commercial Finance has appointed Ben Hayward as commercial director and shareholder as it continues to expand its support for businesses across the Midlands and the UK.
Ben brings more than 19 years of experience in financial services, having held senior roles at Shire Invoice Finance, where he was managing director, as well as Aldermore and RBS Invoice Finance.
He has built extensive expertise in invoice finance and asset-based lending throughout his career.
In his new role, Ben will work alongside managing director Paul Varley to support the next phase of the company’s growth.
He will focus on strengthening relationships across the intermediary market while helping businesses access a range of alternative finance solutions, including invoice finance, asset-based lending, revolving credit facilities and cashflow loans.
Ben said: “My primary focus is partnering with business owners to accelerate their success and realise their vision.
“Joining Navigate Commercial Finance, a firm with an exceptional reputation is an exciting next step. Given my long-standing professional relationship with Paul, this alignment creates a strong synergy that will allow us to collectively scale the business and unlock new growth opportunities.”
Founded by Paul Varley in 2021, Navigate Commercial Finance works with SMEs, accountants, banks, alternative lenders and corporate finance advisers to source funding tailored to individual business needs.
Paul added: “Ben brings extensive industry knowledge and great tenacity to our team and his appointment is an exciting step forward for the business.
“We will continue to support our intermediary customer base and long-term lender relationships as we seek to scale up our offering and help even more SMEs to access alternative finance solutions.
“Our team has been growing at pace and we’re now firmly established as an outsourced commercial finance specialist of choice for SMEs across the region.”
