Gucci Brings Stunning Colored Gems to Floral, Nautical, and Horsebit Motifs in New High Jewelry

Gucci debuted a high jewelry collection this week rich in floral and nautical themes as well as some famous symbols of the Italian apparel and accessories powerhouse.

The new collection comprises four “families”: Gucci Flora, Gucci Nodo, Everlasting G, and Iconic Signatures, which includes two of Gucci’s most recognizable motifs, Horsebit and the Marina chain.

Here’s a look at each of the families. Prices for all jewels are on request.

Gucci Flora

In 1966, Gucci commissioned illustrator Vittorio Accornero to create a silk scarf as a gift for movie star–turned–Monaco princess Grace Kelly. Since then, Accornero’s florals have found their way into Gucci’s handbag, scarf, and jewelry designs. They also inspired the new Flora collection, where poppies, lilies, orchids, and peonies each have their own set of statement jewelry—necklaces, earrings, rings, and/or brooches.

The poppy jewels, made of titanium, feature rubies with center rubellites. For the lily, this official emblem of Florence is reimagined with blue sapphires and diamonds. And the peonies offer a soft, delicate feel, with white diamonds set in white gold.

Gucci Flora’s orchid suite includes a white gold necklace, earrings, and ring with diamonds and pink Madagascan sapphires. The orchid standout is a brooch with a white titanium stem and a flower made of white diamonds and a vivid yellow diamond.

Gucci Nodo

This collection centers on the rope, which represents strength, connection, and tradition, Gucci said. The company adapted a chain design from the 1960s for new rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Gucci Nodo jewelry includes a variety of sea-colored gemstones, such as aquamarine, emerald, and blue paraiba tourmaline. Colombian emeralds appear in a choker necklace wrapped in diamonds and the classically elegant bracelet it’s paired with. A different color palette, meanwhile, highlights the Nodo pieces made with yellow and black precious gems.

Everlasting G

Gucci extends its iconic logo of intertwined mirror-image G’s into high jewelry as an elongated geometric motif in diamond pavé. In an Everlasting G parure, white gold jewels are enhanced by slender baguette-cut diamonds that accentuate clean lines, while a green tourmaline at the center enlivens the diamonds with its luminosity.

Iconic Signatures

Originating as an embellishment for Gucci loafers, the Horsebit became a hallmark of the company’s heritage, and is now—along with the Marina chain—a focus of the Iconic Signatures family.

Three sets in the new high jewelry collection feature the double-ring-and-bar metal clamp motif of the Horsebit: a necklace, earrings, and multi-finger ring with diamonds and vibrant green tsavorites, set in white gold; a double-motif necklace, earrings, bracelet, and ring with white diamonds and blue tanzanites; and two rings and a bracelet in white gold with diamonds.

The Marina chain, which comes from the yachting world, is used in a double-chain pendant necklace, earrings, and a bracelet with golden beryls and yellow sapphires.
