Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas Just Got Smaller

Vacheron Constantin has expanded the Overseas collection with two new 34.5mm self-winding models, offering a more compact case size alongside a pair of striking lacquered dials.

The new references build on the 34.5mm Overseas models introduced in 2023 and arrive as demand for smaller, more versatile sports watches continues to grow across the industry.

The 18K rose gold version features a warm, monochromatic dial in rose gold hues with a sunburst satin-finished center and velvet-finished minutes track. Pink gold hands and applied hour markers – both coated in blue Super-LumiNova – complete the properly chic tone-on-tone look.

The stainless steel model takes a bolder approach, pairing a deep red lacquered dial with white gold hour markers and a sunburst center.

Both models keep all the signature design codes of the Overseas: the hexagonal Maltese Cross-inspired bezel, tonneau case shape, and the integrated bracelet with its distinctive cross-shaped centre links.

It measures a sleek 9.3mm thick and is water resistant to 50 meters.

Both are powered by the ultra-thin manufacture Calibre 1088/1, which is just 3.83mm in height and delivers a 40-hour power reserve at 4Hz.

The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback and wound by a 22K gold rotor inspired by the nautical compass rose.

Each piece is accompanied with three interchangeable options – metal bracelet, textured rubber strap, and alligator leather strap – all swappable without tools.

Sound like the start of your new watch wardrobe? One tiny detail… Just because the model has got smaller, don’t expect prices to shrink. The rose gold model will set you back $59,500, and the steel version comes in (relatively) cheaper at £23,200.
