When asked if there was any secret to a long and happy marriage, Ken said: “Tolerance and compromise but we’ve worked hard and played hard. We’ve just had a good time most of our lives.”

Marjorie added: “It’s patience and understanding, and loving each other. Ken was very nice and kind, and good looking. He’s a good man.”

Daughter Dawn Taylor said: “We’ve a brilliant childhood. Thank you for a wonderful life and being supportive parents. They’ve always been there for me, and still are.”
