Infrastructure budgets ‘too low’ to meet rises in costs and demand, warns construction chief

A director of one of Ireland’s largest construction firms has warned that a failure to deliver primary infrastructure, including water facilities, at pace will seriously undermine the country’s ability to build sufficient homes to meet demand.

Ward & Burke director Padraig Burke told the Irish Independent that the issue will ultimately threaten foreign direct investment into Ireland.
