Cake4Kindness Day will return on Thursday 19 November 2026, bringing communities across the UK together with a mission to tackle loneliness and social isolation experienced by people facing homelessness and other vulnerable groups.

Now entering its fourth year, Cake4Kindness Day encourages schools, businesses, care homes, community groups, families and friends to bake together before donating cakes to local homelessness charities, food banks and community organisations.
The initiative creates opportunities for people to connect, volunteer and demonstrate kindness while supporting some of the most isolated members of society.
Ahead of this year’s campaign, Cake4Kindness Day founder Neel Radia has announced Paralympic gold medallist Aaron Phipps MBE as the movement’s official Ambassador.
Phipps, who represented ParalympicsGB and won gold at Tokyo 2020, joined last year’s celebrations at Country Court Care Home.
Residents baked and decorated cupcakes before donating them to a local homelessness charity.
Inspired by the experience and the impact it had on everyone involved, Phipps has chosen to support the campaign as it continues to grow nationally.
Speaking about becoming an Ambassador, Phipps said: “I joined Neel last year for Cake4Kindness Day at Country Court Care Home and saw firsthand the positive difference this project makes, not just for those baking and decorating the cakes, but also for the people experiencing homelessness who receive them.
“The atmosphere in the care home was wonderful, full of laughter, smiles and meaningful conversations. It was clear how much the residents enjoyed getting involved and spending time together.
“Decorating the cakes was great fun! I even learned a new skill along the way. I wouldn’t call myself a professional baker, but I fully embraced the creative process. The focus was on having fun rather than perfection, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Knowing the cakes would be donated to people experiencing homelessness made my involvement feel truly meaningful.
“I love initiatives like this. They bring people together, spread kindness and show how even a small, shared activity can make a real difference. I’m proud to be supporting Cake4Kindness Day 2026 and hope even more people will get involved.”
The impact of Cake4Kindness Day continues to grow year on year.
In 2025, more than 146 organisations took part, including businesses, schools, care homes and the campaign’s first participating hotel, Holiday Inn Express London Stratford.
Together, participants baked and donated more than 8,000 cupcakes, supporting over 100 homelessness charities and community organisations across the UK.
Neel Radia said: “People experiencing homelessness face some of the highest levels of loneliness and social isolation in our communities. Many lack the companionship and everyday conversations that so many of us take for granted.
“Cake4Kindness is about bringing people together through baking and encouraging conscious acts of giving. It’s incredible to see how something as simple as a cupcake or slice of cake can spark conversations, bring smiles and help people feel seen and valued.
“Cake4Kindness Day was created so that anyone, anywhere, can support charities in their own community. Together we can create more connections, inspire more kindness and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Aaron Phipps MBE as our Ambassador. His passion for inclusion, resilience and community perfectly reflects what Cake4Kindness stands for, and we’re excited to have him helping us inspire even more people to take part.”
Cake4Kindness Day has also attracted growing support from organisations across the food, hospitality and care sectors.
Industry partners for the 2026 campaign include Dr. Oetker, Jim Jams, Miele Professional, Procurement for Care, Raj Foods, Signature Dining and TLC Care Group.
Whether baking at work, in a school, care home or with family and friends, every cake shared is intended to create conversations, strengthen communities and remind someone that they matter.
Organisations, businesses, schools and community groups are now invited to register their participation in Cake4Kindness Day 2026 and help make this year’s campaign the biggest yet.
