CapitalRise has expanded its team due to strong demand in the sector, welcoming Imogen Williams as business development director and promoting Ed Groves to associate.
The expansion is aimed at meeting the growing need for development finance in London and the South East, spurred by a recent £250m bank funding line that has increased the firm’s lending capacity.
Imogen Williams moves from Market Financial Solutions, where she was a regional sales manager. Her role at CapitalRise involves “building on existing and establishing new relationships with developers, property investors, and those requiring real estate debt,” specifically in London and the South East.
Ed Groves, who joined CapitalRise in 2021 and was promoted to senior analyst in 2023, will now “proactively seek new business opportunities for residential debt finance” as an associate.
Lee Francis, head of origination at CapitalRise, commented on the new appointment, saying, “Imogen brings 11 years of industry experience… With such a strong background, I am confident that her skills will help to guide the business along an already positive growth trajectory.”
Uma Rajah, CEO and co-founder, highlighted the company’s growth and targets: “We have increasingly ambitious lending targets for 2024 following a strong performance in 2023… recognising and celebrating achievement amongst our talented colleagues is key.”
