Sky Metals (ASX: SKY) has reported additional shallow, high-grade tin, tungsten, and silver drilling results from its Tallebung project in New South Wales, with the latest assays coming from drilling completed after the cut-off date for the recently updated mineral resource estimate (MRE).
The new results highlight the potential to further expand the upgraded resource, with several wide mineralised intervals and high-grade zones returned across multiple drill holes.
Notable intercepts included:
- TBRC471: 29m @ 0.31% tin & 0.04% tungsten from 27m, including: – 2m @ 1.62% tin, 0.08% tungsten & 47.8g/t silver from 59m
- TBRC468: 1m @ 4.32% tungsten & 0.08% tin from 66m, and: 3m @ 1.16% tin, 0.15% tungsten & 10.6g/t silver from 75m
- TBRC472: 26m @ 0.27% tin, 0.07% tungsten & 23.3g/t silver from 27m, including: – 2m @ 1.62% tin, 0.08% tungsten & 47.8g/t silver from 27m; and – 1m @ 0.70% tin, 0.86% tungsten & 218g/t silver from 52m
The latest assays build on previously reported post-MRE drilling results that were also excluded from the recent resource update. Earlier highlights included:
- TBRC427: 9m @ 0.54% tin, 0.11% tungsten & 205g/t silver from 67m, including: – 1m @ 2.45% tin & 0.88% tungsten from 75m
- TBRC436: 14m @ 0.58% tin & 0.04% tungsten from 1m, including: – 2m @ 0.94% tin & 0.04% tungsten from 1m
- TBRC438: 16m @ 0.27% tin, 0.03% tungsten & 15.4g/t silver from 30m, including: – 1m @ 2.22% tin, 0.14% tungsten & 51.6g/t silver from 42m
All results announced to date from the post-MRE drilling programme remain outside the current resource estimate and will be assessed for inclusion in future updates. The company believes the growing body of drilling data demonstrates strong potential for additional resource growth at Tallebung.
The project’s pre-feasibility study (PFS) remains on schedule for completion later this month, marking a significant step towards development of the tin-tungsten-silver project.
Sky Metals also plans to commence further drilling in the coming weeks, targeting additional resource expansion and potential mine life extensions as it advances Tallebung as a near-term Australian tin, tungsten, and silver development opportunity.
SKY Managing Director & CEO Oliver Davies commented: “These latest results provide further clear evidence that the recently updated Mineral Resource Estimate does not represent the limit of the Tallebung system, which remains open in several directions for further growth. Importantly, all of the drilling reported in this announcement sits outside the current MRE, highlighting the opportunity to continue growing both the scale and quality of the deposit as we deliver the Pre-Feasibility Study and move to the next stage of development. With the PFS nearing completion and further drilling about to commence, we are continuing to build what we believe is one of the Australia’s leading near-term tin-tungsten-silver development projects.”
