DA leader John Steenhuisen addresses a crowd as some of the Multi-Party Charter party leaders look on.
The Multi-Party Charter (MPC) has drawn up a 20-point plan for a “charter government” that will focus on infrastructure, it announced on Wednesday.
The MPC, which comprises 11 parties, said the plan would bolster the country’s critical infrastructure, turning the water crises around, strengthening maritime facilities for international trade and economic growth, building a well-maintained road network, and improving the rail network for enhanced connectivity and efficiency.
To highlight infrastructure decay, the MPC announced the plan on a collapsed road near the Umkomaas Bridge on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast.
