Cybersecurity salesman steps into the breach for start-up funding

Eoin Goulding promises he doesn’t have it in for private equity — it just really sounds like he does.

“I can show you ten emails from ten different private equity groups that came to me saying, ‘We’d like to know more about your business.’ It’s just bullshit,” he says.

Half an hour later he’s back at it. “Private equity, nine times out of ten, bullshit you on the value they can bring besides giving you the money, right? It’s pure f***ing nonsense what they do.”

However, it’s more that he believes one has to kiss a lot of frogs before finding a prince.

Goulding founded Integrity360, a cybersecurity business, back in 2005 and built it over 15 years with hardly any external funding. A shoestring
