Two fire crews called out to mid-terraced property in Hoole

Firefighters attended the scene in Tomkinson Street at about 6.10pm on Friday (April 19).

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “An electrical fault is believed to be the most probable cause of a fire involving the bedroom of a mid-terraced property.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reel water jets once power had been isolated.

“Floorboards were removed and a thermal imaging camera used to check for fire spread to neighbouring properties.”
