Raiders News: Raiders sign DT Folorunso Fatukasi

The Las Vegas Raiders lost their first preseason game of the season on Thursday Night. One of the reasons for the loss was the struggles to stop the run.

In a move to add depth to the defensive tackle position, the Raiders looked to the free-agent market for help. They signed former Houston Texan Folorunso Fatukasi to join the Silver and Black on Saturday.

Fatukasi is a big run defender with 124 career run stops, according to PFF. He has started to fall off in play over the last couple of seasons, now that he’s 30. However, he will add beef inside to help stop the run, which is detrimental as the game slowly moves back to a run-first league.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders put Brennen Jackson on injury reserve. He was earning reps with the ones in training camp and was a big blow to roster depth.
