Rapid Critical Metals (ASX: RCM) has extended silver mineralisation more than 300 meters south of the current resource at its 100%-owned Webbs silver project in northern New South Wales, while returning another series of high-grade intersections from its ongoing drilling campaign.
The standout result was 4m at 1,230 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 136m within a broader 37.4m interval grading 278.8g/t AgEq, highlighting both grade and mineralised width within the Webbs system.
A second high-grade intersection returned 7m at 641.8g/t AgEq from 75m in the main Webbs lode to the north, while drilling to the south has pushed mineralisation well beyond the present resource boundary.
Rapid considers the spatial distribution of the new intersections consistent with a broader mineralised corridor containing stacked or parallel lodes rather than a single continuous structure, although further drilling is required to confirm geometry, continuity, and scale.
High Grades Across Corridor
The standout 4m interval contained 981g/t silver and sits within a broad mineralised envelope that Rapid considers important for assessing the scale and tenor of the central Webbs lode.
Elsewhere in the program, drilling returned 15m at 200.3g/t AgEq from 60m, including 1m at 1,605g/t AgEq, as well as 12m at 107.3g/t AgEq from 71m and 8m at 118.9g/t AgEq from 145m.
The latest batch covered 20 holes, and has increased confidence in parts of the orebody, with some areas considered likely to move into higher resource classifications as geological and resource models are updated.
The company plans to integrate the new assays into updated geological and resource models while continuing to test interpreted parallel lodes and extensions beyond the existing resource footprint.
Southern Extension Opens Upside
The southern step-out intersection of 2m at 118.0g/t AgEQ from 117m lies more than 300m south of the current Webbs resource and provides a new target area for follow-up drilling.
Rapid also considers the northern 7m at 641.8g/t AgEq intersection significant because it confirms exceptional-grade mineralisation roughly 1km north of the southern extension, reinforcing the scale of the corridor being tested.
“[This] is a standout result by any measure: 4m at 1,230 g/t silver equivalent, sitting inside a 37.4m zone averaging 278.8 g/t—exceptional grade and real width in the same intersection is exactly what we have been drilling for,” managing director Byron Miles said.
“Webbs is behaving like a mineralised corridor rather than a single lode, and it is still open in every direction we test.”
Third Rig to Lift Pace
Environmental approvals have been received for the Webbs consol project, allowing Rapid to expand exploration across the broader Webbs-Webbs Consol corridor during the second half of 2026.
Further assays from the current drilling remain pending, providing additional near-term information for Rapid as it refines the geological model and assesses potential resource growth.
Rapid is also progressing a broader 2026 exploration program across its New South Wales silver portfolio, with continued resource growth and discovery drilling planned alongside follow-up work at Webbs.
“With approvals now in hand at Webbs Consol and a third rig joining us within weeks, we are stepping up the pace into the second half of 2026,” Mr Miles added.
