Park Hyatt is taking its luxury residential offering to new heights in Niseko with the launch of ONE HANAZONO VILLAS, a collection of just 13 private residences in one of Japan’s most sought-after ski destinations.
Pacific Century Premium Developments (PCPD) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation have unveiled plans for the project in Hanazono, promising an exclusive combination of private ownership, five-star service and direct access to the slopes.
The development will be the first Park Hyatt-branded villas in Japan.
Design credentials are a major part of the project. The architecture comes from renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, while the interiors will be created by Hong Kong-based designer André Fu.
The villas will be positioned on an elevated site overlooking the surrounding landscape. Most will offer panoramic views of Mount Yotei, the distinctive volcanic peak that dominates the Niseko skyline.
Each residence will range from approximately 700 to 1,000 square meters (7,500 to 10,400 square feet). The individually separated villas will feature four to six ensuite bedrooms, large living and dining areas, private driveways and secluded garden spaces.
A private owners’ clubhouse will provide ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes, together with a dedicated après-ski lounge.
The residences will be managed and serviced by the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono team, allowing owners to combine the privacy and independence of a private home with personalized hotel-style service.
Two fully furnished show villas are scheduled for completion this winter.
PCPD said the project builds on its relationship with Hyatt and the success of Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and its residences, which opened in 2020.
PCPD has been involved in Niseko’s long-term development as an international ski destination. Its portfolio across Hanazono and Weiss covers more than 2.7 million square meters (29 million square feet).
Benjamin Lam, PCPD deputy chairman and group managing director, said the new development would reinforce Hanazono’s position as a leading alpine destination in Asia.
Hyatt is confident about the project as demand remains strong among affluent buyers seeking residential properties that combine distinctive design, space, privacy and personalized service in Japan’s mountain resorts.
