Mumbai: A new jewellery label, Zi, has entered the Indian market with a focus on contemporary silver jewellery, introducing a design philosophy that places everyday wearability at the centre of its proposition.
Founded by Yogesh Khandelwal, Zi makes its debut with a collection crafted in 925 sterling silver. The range is designed around the idea that jewellery can be incorporated into daily dressing, rather than being reserved for celebrations or special occasions.
The launch collection is divided into three distinct segments — Staple Edits, Forever Favourites and Evening Elegance. The first focuses on foundational pieces, while the second brings together versatile designs intended for regular wear. Evening Elegance takes the collection into a more statement-oriented space.
The designs are conceived to work both as individual pieces and in combinations, allowing customers to layer and build looks according to their personal style. Prices start at Rs. 3,500, with the collection available through Zi’s online platform.
Silver forms the first chapter of the brand’s product journey. The jewellery uses 925 sterling silver, with selected designs finished with gold plating or rhodium. Zi is also positioning attention to finish and material quality as an important part of its offering.
Khandelwal brings more than two decades of experience in the precious metals business, spanning bullion, refining, manufacturing and international trade. With Zi, the focus shifts towards creating a consumer-facing design brand built around jewellery and, eventually, a wider lifestyle proposition.
The brand is already looking beyond its opening collection, with The Classics and The Atelier among the upcoming lines. It is also exploring other materials and categories, including gold, titanium and lab-grown diamonds.
Rather than positioning itself solely as a silver jewellery brand, Zi is looking to establish a broader design identity, with jewellery serving as its entry point into the market.
