Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo has announced a multi-platinum country artist is headlining its 2027 concert.
Russell Dickerson will headline the April 6, 2027, opening night concert sponsored by Sysco. The 2027 aerospace expo will be held from April 6 to 11 on the grounds of Lakeland Linder International Airport.
Dickerson is best known for some of his romantic songs including “Yours,” “Love Like I Used To” and “God Gave Me a Girl.” In 2025, the artist launched a sold-out Russellmania Tour.

Sun ‘n Fun expo began a tradition of hosting an opening night concert in 2024 during its 50th anniversary celebration under ACE’s CEO and President Gene Conrad. The nighttime event has steadily grown, featuring Dylan Scott with special guest Sara Evans in 2024, followed by Cooper Alan with special guest Thomas Mac in 2025.
The opening night concert is included with a Tuesday ticket to the Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo, which is an annual fundraiser for the Aerospace Center for Excellence, more commonly called ACE. The nonprofit organization provides STEM education in sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics related to the aviation industry.
Tickets for the 2027 expo are on sale at early-price prices of $48 per adult single-day pass, $20 for a youth single-day pass, for teens ages 13 to 17. Children ages 12 and younger are free.
