Serti sur Vide: The Floating Diamond, Reimagined
Repossi expands Serti sur Vide with thirteen new creations, transforming its signature floating-diamond language through pear-shaped diamonds, coloured stones, new cuts and sculptural compositions.
At the heart of Repossi’s latest expression of Serti sur Vide is a simple yet radical gesture: the stone appears to float on the skin. The Maison’s near-invisible “Eiffel Tower” setting reduces the visual presence of the metal, allowing the diamond to become the architecture itself.
Marking four decades at Place Vendôme, the new chapter introduces thirteen creations that move between pure diamond compositions, coloured stones and sculptural forms while preserving the collection’s unmistakable tension between structure and light.
The Jeweller’s Gesture
Before the Setting, There Is the Stone
Serti sur Vide begins with the instinctive gesture of the gemologist: holding a stone between the fingertips to observe its clarity, proportions and brilliance before deciding how it should be set.
Repossi turns that moment of observation into jewellery. The setting recedes, the diamond remains visually suspended and the relationship between stone and skin becomes the central architectural proposition.
Chapter I
The Diamond, Suspended
The first chapter focuses on the purity of white diamonds. Four new creations extend the signature language through rings, earrings, an earcuff and a brooch, each exploring how far the metal can disappear while the stone remains visually present.
Serti sur Vide Earrings
In white gold, each earring is set with eight pear-shaped diamonds totaling 2.6 carats. The elongated stones create a cascading composition in which the setting almost disappears against the skin.
Serti sur Vide Earcuff
Crafted in white gold, the earcuff carries nine pear-shaped diamonds totaling 3.67 carats, complemented by 0.23 carats of pavé-set diamonds. Its architectural line follows the ear while maintaining the collection’s illusion of suspension.
Serti sur Vide Double Ring
Designed to span two fingers, the Double Ring is set in white gold with six pear-shaped diamonds totaling 3.29 carats and 0.61 carats of pavé-set diamonds. The near-invisible setting gives the composition its characteristic floating effect.
Serti sur Vide Brooch
The white gold brooch is set with five pear-shaped diamonds totaling 2.42 carats. Designed to move beyond conventional jewellery categories, it brings Serti sur Vide into a day-to-night vocabulary that transcends traditional feminine and masculine wardrobes.
Chapter II
A New Spectrum of Colour
Serti sur Vide moves beyond the purity of white diamonds with a new chromatic language. Exceptional coloured stones introduce green, blue and yellow tones while preserving the graphic discipline of the collection.
Three rings and two pairs of earrings combine coloured and white diamonds, while aquamarines and tourmalines bring a more mineral dimension to the Place Vendôme story.
Serti sur Vide Coloured-Stone Earrings
Each white gold earring combines two pear-shaped aquamarines, four pear-shaped indicolite tourmalines and two pear-shaped green tourmalines, for a total of 3.3 carats. The graduated colours echo the changing tones of oxidized copper associated with the Place Vendôme column.
Aquamarine & Indicolite Earrings
Each earring is set with one pear-shaped aquamarine and two pear-shaped indicolite tourmalines totaling 1.77 carats. The cool tonal sequence reinforces the collection’s floating geometry.
Serti sur Vide Seven-Stone Ring
This white gold ring combines two pear-shaped aquamarines with five pear-shaped indicolite tourmalines totaling 3.77 carats, complemented by 0.69 carats of pavé-set diamonds.
Serti sur Vide Four-Stone Ring
Three pear-shaped indicolite tourmalines and one pear-shaped aquamarine create a four-stone composition totaling 4.77 carats, with an additional 0.52 carats of pavé-set diamonds.
Place Vendôme
Forty Years of Reinvention
Four new creations mark Repossi’s 40th anniversary on Place Vendôme. Fine stones in green and blue recall the oxidized copper of the Vendôme column, translating the changing atmosphere of the Parisian landmark into colour.
Indicolite tourmalines, green tourmalines and aquamarines appear in gradients, reinforcing the dialogue between architectural structure and the natural irregularity of gemstones.
Fancy Serti sur Vide Ring
A cushion-shaped yellow diamond and a marquise-shaped diamond form the centre of this white gold composition, totaling 5.29 carats and surrounded by 1.17 carats of pavé-set diamonds.
Fancy Serti sur Vide Ring
A pear-shaped yellow diamond, a pear-shaped dark grey yellowish diamond and a further pear-shaped diamond total 2.85 carats, with 1.32 carats of pavé-set diamonds completing the white gold design.
Fancy Serti sur Vide Ring
A pear-shaped yellow diamond, a pear-shaped pink diamond and a pear-shaped diamond create a 3.25-carat composition, enhanced by 1.44 carats of pavé-set diamonds.
Fancy Serti sur Vide Pink Diamond Earrings
Each white gold earring is set with one pear-shaped pink diamond and two pear-shaped diamonds totaling 1.91 carats. The contrast between the coloured centre stone and the surrounding diamonds preserves the collection’s graphic clarity.
Fancy Serti sur Vide Yellow Diamond Earrings
Each white gold earring features one pear-shaped yellow diamond and two pear-shaped diamonds totaling 2.17 carats. The yellow stone introduces a concentrated flash of colour within the otherwise weightless composition.
A Collection Built Around Light
Across its thirteen new creations, Serti sur Vide remains less concerned with the visible mechanics of jewellery than with the sensation produced when those mechanics disappear.
Pear-shaped diamonds become points of light. Coloured stones become architectural accents. Rings, earrings, ear cuffs and a brooch extend the same fundamental proposition: reduce the setting until the relationship between gemstone, skin and movement becomes the jewellery.
