Police release image of man following gold jewellery theft in Horncastle


Police are investigating the alleged theft of gold jewellery from a home in Horncastle.

Appealing for information about the incident, a forces spokesperson said: “Two men visited an address in Banovallum Gardens on the morning of Friday, 3 September where they agreed to buy a number of gold pieces from an elderly individual.

“While the owner agreed to sell some items, one of the men is suspected to have taken four gold necklaces that were not for sale.

“These necklaces held tremendous sentimental value to the victim.”

They added: “We believe the man pictured can help us in our investigations and are seeking help to identify him.”
