NOTICE OF SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES
The Board of Education of the Madison Local School District, Richland County, Ohio, has declared certain personal property located at and associated with the former Mifflin Elementary School property to be no longer needed for school district purposes and authorized its sale at public auction. Pursuant to action of the Board of Education, an online-only public auction of such personal property will be conducted by RES Auction Services, LLC (www.res.bid), beginning October 24, 2026, and ending November 3, 2026.
The auction may include furniture, equipment, cafeteria equipment, maintenance equipment, supplies, and other miscellaneous personal property owned by the Board of Education and located in the former Mifflin Elementary School property, except for any items withdrawn from sale or retained by the District. The auction shall be absolute, and all items offered for sale shall be sold to the highest bidder, subject to the terms and conditions established by RES Auction Services, LLC and the Board of Education.
All property shall be sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, and without representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Board of Education expressly disclaims all warranties, including without limitation warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Prospective bidders are responsible for conducting such inspections and investigations as they deem necessary prior to bidding.
Payment shall be made in accordance with the terms and conditions established by RES Auction Services, LLC and provided to registered bidders. Purchasers shall be responsible for removing purchased items within the time period specified by the auctioneer and shall bear all costs associated with removal and transportation.
