Winchester author wins award for Wild Self nature book

Emma Pruen, of Winchester, was presented with the Janey Lee Grace Platinum Award for her book Wild Self: 400 Transformational Nature Experiences in Britain.

Ms Pruen said: “Winning a Janey Lee Grace Platinum Award for Wild Self is such a wonderful honour. My passion has always been helping people reconnect—both to their inner landscape and to the natural world around them.

“Bringing together the wisdom of Wild Self and launching the Centre for Transpersonal Studies right here in Winchester makes this year exceptionally special.”

The Janey Lee Grace Platinum Awards recognise excellence in natural health, holistic wellbeing and conscious living.

Wild Self was commended for its guidance on reconnecting with nature, featuring 400 curated outdoor experiences, sacred sites and nature-based rituals across Britain.

The win comes during a landmark year for Ms Pruen, who recently announced The Centre for Transpersonal Studies.

The centre’s flagship professional coaching programme, which is aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), will begin in January 2027 at the University of Winchester.

The seven-month course blends transpersonal coaching, systemic constellations and nature-based practice to train future coaches.
