Reform UK, a pro-digital-asset political party in Britain, is considering setting up a labor union spanning digital-asset industry workers in response to tighter rules on foreign political donations.
Odaily reported on September 20 that Aaron Banks, a senior Reform UK official, said the party plans to establish the Allied Computer & Crypto Workers Union, or ACCAW, if the Labour government further tightens regulations on overseas political donations.
ACCAW would accept members from the information technology, artificial intelligence and digital-asset industries. Reform UK is also said to be considering raising political funds through the union.
The plan comes as the UK government moves to restrict political donations from foreign backers. Digital-asset billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne had earlier donated 36 million pounds each to Reform UK, for a total of 72 million pounds, the report said.
