Sreeja MS has joined White Gold as Head of Communications, marking her latest transition after 15 years across journalism, media and branded content.
She began her career in journalism with a hospitality magazine during college before joining News9 as an Associate Producer, where she worked across news stories, bulletins and features. She later moved into reporting, gaining experience in field journalism and news gathering.
Reflecting on her journey, Sreeja said, “15 years ago, I walked into my first newsroom. Today I’m walking into my first boardroom.”
She credits her early newsroom experience and the journalists she worked with for shaping her approach to storytelling and reporting. “I did journalism that MATTERED. That made an IMPACT. I’ll carry that with me,” she said.
After spending over a decade in mainstream journalism, Sreeja made her first career pivot three years ago, moving into branded content within media at Times Network. She credited Mihir Bhatt for opening the opportunity.
In her new role, she will be responsible for the company’s communications mandate as it builds its position in the organised gold-buying space.
Her move to White Gold marks a shift from reporting and creating stories around businesses to taking on a communications role within a company as it seeks to build a new category in organised gold buying.
