The global bond markets are getting grumpy; very grumpy. Long-term interest rates across the world economy have risen to new multidecade highs in the past week or so.
For Australia the 10-year government bond yield, that is the benchmark “risk-free” long-term interest rate, rose to almost 5.5 per cent, the highest in 15 years.
