Iran Restores Satellite Development Infrastructure Damaged During War

Iran has restored key infrastructure used for satellite development after the facilities were damaged during recent military hostilities, although the sites have not yet returned to full operating capacity.

Nader Makari, acting head of the Iranian Space Research Center, announced the development at a press conference, according to Iran International.

“The infrastructure needed for satellite development and damaged during the war was restored very quickly,” Makari said.

He noted that the facilities are not yet operating at 100% capacity, but the capabilities required to resume work are already functioning.

Iran is also continuing several space projects, including the Saman satellite series, the Nahid-3 satellite and the Fars-3 project.

Makari said that Iran plans to further expand its domestic capabilities in satellite manufacturing and orbital transportation as it continues developing its national space program.
