Investing.com — Wells Fargo Securities named 13 stocks across seven sectors as its fourth-quarter 2026 long ideas, citing company-specific catalysts that could drive significant gains.
All 13 stocks are rated “overweight,” which Wells Fargo defines as an expected total return of at least 10% over the next 12 months. The bank updates the list quarterly. It recently cut its year-end S&P 500 target to 7,700 from 7,950, saying the index has limited upside and could first face a 5%-10% pullback.
Video game platform Roblox has a $64 price target. Wells Fargo said changes to platform discovery made in late August appear to be increasing the frequency of successful game launches, supporting fourth-quarter bookings guidance of $2.01 billion-$2.07 billion even after factoring in a potential three-point hit from the release of “Grand Theft Auto VI.”
Oil producer Occidental Petroleum has a $82 price target. Wells Fargo expects the stock to command a higher valuation as the company pre-funds its $8.5 billion preferred equity maturity due in 2029.
Freight broker C.H. Robinson Worldwide has a $215 price target, with improving brokerage conditions and market-share gains expected to push third- and fourth-quarter earnings about 8% above consensus.
Microsoft has a $725 price target, with its first quarter under a new reporting structure expected in late October.
Drugmaker Axsome Therapeutics has a $256 price target. Wells Fargo expects monthly prescription data for its Auvelity antidepressant on Nov. 13 and Dec. 11 to show stronger growth in Medicare and long-term care channels.
Equipment rental company United Rentals has a $1,355 price target, as tighter equipment supply supports pricing. Wells Fargo’s third-quarter earnings-per-share forecast is 8% above consensus.
Regional bank Fifth Third Bancorp has a $67 price target. Wells Fargo expects cost savings from its Comerica integration and faster share buybacks to lift earnings above consensus. The bank reports third-quarter results on Oct. 19.
Biotech company Kymera Therapeutics has a $151 price target and is awaiting Phase 2b data for KT-621 in atopic dermatitis. Wells Fargo said efficacy below roughly 70% of dupilumab’s benchmark, or any new safety issue, could weaken the drug’s outlook.
Distributor Ferguson Enterprises has a $295 price target, with Wells Fargo expecting volumes to accelerate ahead of third-quarter results in early November.
Index and analytics provider MSCI has a $685 price target. Wells Fargo expects a third-quarter earnings beat, helped by stronger-than-expected index revenue, when the company reports on Oct. 20.
