Morgan Stanley launches alternatives education hub for European advisers

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched a new alternatives education platform for European financial advisers, as access to private markets continues to expand across the wealth sector.

The Alternatives Investing Center is designed to help advisers navigate the growing range of alternative investment opportunities available to clients, bringing together educational resources, expert insights and market commentary across private market asset classes.

Morgan Stanley said the platform had been launched in response to growing demand from advisers seeking practical guidance on incorporating alternative investments into client portfolios as new investment structures broaden access to private markets.

Federico Vettore, European head of private markets for wealth at Morgan Stanley, said the European wealth market was entering a new phase for alternatives.

“The European wealth market is entering a new phase for alternatives, with broader access, greater investor awareness and growing demand from clients,” he said.

“As advisors increasingly seek to incorporate private market strategies into portfolios, education becomes critical. The Alternatives Investing Center is designed to provide the tools, insights and expertise needed to help advisors and investors make more informed decisions.”

The platform draws on Morgan Stanley’s alternatives investment capabilities and offers educational content covering private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets, hedge funds and venture capital.

Resources available through the centre include investment guides, expert commentary, live and on-demand webinars, interactive learning tools and continuing education opportunities.

The launch comes as private markets continue to attract growing interest from wealth managers and financial advisers seeking additional sources of portfolio diversification and return beyond traditional public markets.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management oversees more than $2tn of assets under management or supervision and employs more than 1,300 investment professionals globally.
