Real estate professional Tim Taylor is seeking a seat in the legislature for the B.C. Conservatives for the Victoria-Swan Lake riding.

According to the party, Taylor brings decades of experience in commercial and residential real estate in Victoria and is a sales professional, property manager, and strata manager, bringing housing at every level, from affordable units to market-rate developments.

He’s been involved in housing advocacy – sitting as chair of the Kiwanis Housing Society for Seniors, president of the Victoria West Housing Society for Families in Need, advisor to the Kiwanis House for Women with New Babies, advisor to the Youth Empowerment Society, and a founding director of the CRD Housing Action team.

“He’s also worked alongside several First Nations councils to secure resources addressing the social, cultural, and housing crises their communities face. That work has produced real, measurable progress,” noted the party’s website.

He has also sat as chair of the Victoria Real Estate Board’s commercial division, served as a founding director of the B.C. Commercial Council, and sat on the board’s political liaison and finance committees.

“Tim knows this community. He helped build it, served it, and fought for it. He’s ready to bring that same energy to create new exciting opportunities for Victoria-Swan Lake,” said the party.

Taylor ran for the same riding in the 2024 provincial election, gaining just over 20 per cent of the vote and falling behind current NDP MLA Nina Krieger and the Greens’ Christina Winter.

This time around, Taylor is facing off against Krieger, the incumbent, and the Greens’ Carolyn Howe. Provincial election day is Saturday, Oct. 24.
