Devon Air Ambulance’s Crew’s Brew Coffee scoops gold award

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) announced their partnership with Owen’s Organic Coffee in 2023 and the product, named Crew’s Brew, has since been sold in all the charity’s retail shops and online to raise much needed funds.

Now, Crew’s Brew has been awarded a Gold Award for its taste and quality in the 2024 Taste of the West Awards!

Taste of the West has been promoting and supporting the South West food and drink industry for over 30 years. Products are tried and tested by industry experts.  

Pete Vallance, Head of Business Development for DAA said: ‘When we entered Owen’s Coffee Shop down and Endsleigh and saw the profits of the proceeds of their used coffee bean Sacks were going to Devon Air Ambulance it felt that our Hot Beverage Partnership already started off on a good footing… the team have not only helped deliver a branded product raising funds, they also helped establish our coffee machine in our St Marychurch store. 

“To be judged as part of the Taste of the West competition and to have won a Gold Award confirms that not only is the product doing good by raising funds, but its’ gold standard taste and quality makes it a product worthy of a Regional Produce award.’

In DAA’s St Marychurch shop, Crew’s Brew takes pride of place where shoppers are provided with a place to sit and enjoy a hot drink in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
