Fabien Sulmina, 14, who won the under 70 kilogram national schoolboy title in Newcastle last month, was selected to compete in the GB Three Nations contest in Nottingham on Saturday 15 and Sunday, June 16.
The competition featured champions from England, Scotland and Wales.

In the semi-finals, the Sydenham ABC boxer was drawn against fellow Englishman, Austin Muir.
The contenders had a lively match that entertained the crowd with constant pressure and work-rate.
After three rounds, Sulmina triumphed with a split-decision victory, booking his place in the final, which pitted Sulmina against Scottish champion, Rory McKenzie.
Despite a significant height disadvantage for Sulmina, the second round saw him land an impressive blow, surprising McKenzie and the audience alike.
Much to the crowd’s bemusement, the referee abstained from issuing a standing eight count.
McKenzie eventually recovered and showed a strong final round performance.
After three fiercely contested rounds, the Edinburgh-based boxer was declared champion.
In reflection, Sulmina has had a fantastic season, catching eyes with a silver medal-winning performance in his first international tournament.
He ends the season as the number one ranked boxer in England, and number two in Britain.
