White Gold (TSXV: WGO) has released the first assays from its 2026 drill program at the White Gold Project, expanding the high grade core of the Golden Saddle deposit by roughly 50 metres and extending mineralization at the VG deposit well beyond its current resource limits.
Highlights from the first batch of assays include:
- WHTGS26D0219: 1.47 g/t gold over 38.08 metres from a depth of 397.12 metres
- Including 5.13 g/t gold over 7.88 metres
- Including 10.48 g/t gold over 2.88 metres
- And 1.16 g/t gold over 12.60 metres from a depth of 140.50 metres
- And 4.05 g/t gold over 1.97 metres from a depth of 657.40 metres
- Including 5.13 g/t gold over 7.88 metres
- QV26-026: 2.53 g/t gold over 18.90 metres from a depth of 172.10 metres
- Including 4.27 g/t gold over 2.43 metres
- Including 4.57 g/t gold over 1.84 metres
- And 0.71 g/t gold over 38.45 metres from a depth of 244.55 metres
- Including 1.14 g/t gold over 6.18 metres
At Golden Saddle, hole WHTGS26D0219 was drilled to test the western edge of the Main Zone’s high grade core and returned 38.08 metres of mineralization at a vertical depth of 300 metres, which sits inside the existing resource pit shell. The same hole cut several zones in both the hanging wall and footwall, pointing to stacked mineralization above and below the main zone.

At VG, two holes extend drilled mineralization from 230 metres to 320 metres down plunge across 150 metres of strike. They also close a 120 metre gap to historical hole QV13-011, which returned 2.43 g/t gold over 21.36 metres in 2013 but was excluded from the resource because it sat isolated from the modelled mineralization. With that hole now tied in, the company said continuity at VG runs to approximately 350 metres down plunge, and the deposit remains open.
“Successfully intersecting high grade gold in multiple areas validates our conviction that the White Gold Project has the potential to continue to grow substantially and that we are in the early days of demonstrating the abundant mineralization at the White Gold Project,” said CEO David D’Onofrio.
The 2026 campaign, backed in part by Agnico Eagle Mines, is the company’s largest to date on its flagship deposits and equals 20% of the roughly 92,000 metres drilled across the deposits before this year. That work included 6,451 metres in 12 holes at Golden Saddle and 2,909 metres in 9 holes at VG.
Assays are still pending for 49 holes, including drilling at the Golden Saddle 2.0 and VG East exploration targets.
None of the new results are captured in the project’s preliminary economic assessment filed last month, which outlined a 9.4 year open pit operation averaging 188,000 ounces of gold per year. The study pegged the after-tax net present value at C$1.86 billion, with a 41% internal rate of return and a 1.5 year payback at US$3,600 per ounce gold.
White Gold last traded at $1.57 on the TSX Venture.
