Rallyday Partners Named to Inc.’s 2026 Founder-Friendly Investors List

Rallyday Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm focused on partnering with founder-led businesses, has been named to Inc.’s 2026 Founder-Friendly Investors list, which recognizes investment firms for their approach to supporting entrepreneurs and growing companies.

The annual list includes 294 private equity firms, venture capital firms and lenders selected based on feedback from founders who have worked with investment partners.

The recognition highlights Rallyday’s investment approach, which combines financial resources with strategic guidance, leadership development and operational support for portfolio companies.

Founded by entrepreneurs and business operators, Rallyday positions itself as an alternative to traditional private equity models, emphasizing collaboration with founders and management teams throughout the investment relationship.

“As founders and operators ourselves, we know how personal it is to choose a partner for a business you’ve built,” said Ryan Heckman, Chief Executive Officer of Rallyday Partners.

“We created Rallyday to be the partner we wished we’d had when we were running our own companies,” Heckman added.

He said the firm’s investment model is designed to help founders and their leadership teams navigate business growth while strengthening the organizations they have established.

Inc.’s Founder-Friendly Investors list evaluates investment firms through questionnaires completed by entrepreneurs who have sold businesses to private equity or venture capital investors.

Participating founders provide information about their experiences with investment partners and share data regarding company performance during those relationships.

The resulting list recognizes firms that founders identify as supportive partners through investment transactions and subsequent stages of business development.

“With the current funding environment and rapid changes facing growing companies, founders are looking for more than just capital from their investors,” said Bonny Ghosh, Editorial Director at Inc.

Ghosh said entrepreneurs increasingly seek investors capable of providing strategic advice, operational expertise and guidance in addition to financing.

The 2026 list recognizes firms that demonstrate an emphasis on partnership and support for founder-led businesses.

Rallyday’s inclusion follows recent investment activity, including its May 2026 partnership with Greg Merrell, Co-Founder of Simplistic, a Colorado-based agentic commerce consultancy and Shopify Plus Platinum partner.

The transaction represented the first platform investment from Rallyday’s third fund.

Simplistic provides consulting and technology services related to digital commerce, including work within the Shopify ecosystem.

The partnership reflects Rallyday’s strategy of investing in founder-led companies and providing resources intended to support organizational development and expansion.

Rallyday describes its investment approach as combining four categories of capital: financial, creative, experiential and human.

Financial capital supports investment and business growth, while the other components emphasize strategic planning, operational knowledge, leadership development and access to experienced business professionals.

The firm seeks to apply these resources through direct collaboration with founders and executive teams.

A central component of that approach is the Rallyday Accelerator Program, known as RAP.

The six-month program is designed for portfolio companies following their investment partnership with Rallyday.

Through the program, Rallyday works with management teams to establish frameworks for organizational purpose, business strategy, corporate culture and leadership development.

The process includes planning for leadership capabilities across different levels of an organization, rather than focusing exclusively on senior executives.

Rallyday uses the program to help portfolio companies establish a foundation for organizational growth and align management teams around strategic priorities.

The firm’s approach reflects the challenges that founder-led companies can encounter as they expand, including developing management structures, formalizing business processes and maintaining organizational culture.

For entrepreneurs who have built companies around their own leadership and vision, bringing in an outside investor can involve decisions about governance, strategy and the future direction of the business.

Rallyday’s model emphasizes maintaining a collaborative relationship with founders while introducing additional resources to support company development.

Its recent partnership with Simplistic illustrates that approach, combining an investment in a founder-led technology services business with the firm’s broader operational and leadership development resources.

The firm has not disclosed additional financial details about the Simplistic investment in connection with the Inc. recognition.

Inc.’s Founder-Friendly Investors program is intended to provide entrepreneurs with information about investment firms based on the experiences of founders who have previously partnered with them.

The evaluation process incorporates founder questionnaires and company performance information rather than relying solely on investment activity or assets under management.

Inc. also discloses that applicants pay a nominal fee to cover a portion of the program’s operating costs.

The publication, owned by Mansueto Ventures LLC, produces business journalism and resources for entrepreneurs and company leaders.

Its annual Founder-Friendly Investors list covers investment firms operating across different sectors, company sizes and financing strategies.

For Rallyday, the recognition comes as the firm continues deploying capital from its third fund and developing relationships with emerging businesses.

The Denver-based firm focuses on supporting founders and management teams through investments and operating partnerships intended to strengthen companies over time.

Its strategy emphasizes the role of leadership, culture and organizational development alongside traditional financial measures of business performance.

The inclusion on Inc.’s 2026 list provides recognition of that approach based on feedback from entrepreneurs who have worked with investment firms.

As Rallyday continues expanding its portfolio, the firm plans to maintain its founder-focused investment model, combining capital investment with structured leadership development and strategic support for growing businesses.
