Washington, Oct 31, (SANA) Gold prices fell to their lowest level in a year on Friday, alongside sharp declines in silver, platinum and palladium, amid a sell-off in technology stocks across global markets.
According to Reuters, spot gold fell 3.5 percent to $3,880.97 per ounce, its lowest level since October 2025.
U.S. gold futures for December delivery also declined 3.3 percent to $3,898 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver dropped 6.5 percent to $49 per ounce, falling below the $50 mark for the first time in 11 months. Palladium fell below $1,000, while platinum hit its lowest level in 13 months.
Gold has fallen 30 percent since reaching an all-time high of $5,595 in January, amid expectations that interest rates will remain higher for longer. The metal is also facing pressure from weaker demand in Asia.
