Two north county laundromats are under new ownership.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from May 1-9.
During that time period, Mark Lotter sold 77-81 E. Fifth St., Dunkirk and 75-77 W. Main St., Fredonia to Village Laundromat, LLC of Gowanda for $500,000.
The Dunkirk address is the location of LA Laundry, while the Fredonia address is the location of Clean Spot Laundromat.
Along with LA Laundry, the East Fifth Street building has Dunkirk Express, which advertises itself as a Puerto Rican grocery store. At one time, Metro by T-Mobile was also located in this plaza.

In a separate sale, Bissell-Babcock Millwork, Inc. of Sherman sold a parcel in, Ripley to Knapp Road, LLC of Chardon, Ohio for $299,900. The property is 112 acres in size and is off of NE Sherman Road, near Post Road. The county’s GIS page describes the parcel as rural/vacant.
Including the previously mentioned sales, from May 1-9 there were five sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:
