In a world that seems perpetually in a hurry, there is something quietly assured about a woman who moves at her own pace. She knows when to step forward, when to pause and when to let a moment unfold. For her, taking her time is not an act of hesitation, but a choice.

The Première has always had an instinct for the unexpected. When Chanel introduced its first watch in 1987, it departed from conventional watch design in favour of a distinctly maison-specific vocabulary. Its octagonal case took inspiration from the shape of the stopper on the N°5 perfume bottle, while its chain bracelet recalled the leather interwoven with metal chain on Chanel’s iconic handbags.

The result was a watch that blurred the boundaries between timepiece and jewellery. Neither strictly functional nor purely ornamental, the Première expressed a more individual vision of elegance: one that was confident, unconventional and entirely its own.

Nearly four decades later, that sensibility remains intact. The Première continues to evolve through new interpretations of its signature codes, offering different ways to wear the watch—and, by extension, to express one’s relationship with time.

What connects these interpretations is not simply their shared design heritage, but the freedom they offer the woman wearing them. The Première is a timepiece with a strong identity, yet one that leaves room for individual expression. A single gold bangle can be enough; a double-row chain or a necklace watch offers an entirely different sensibility. The choice may change with the occasion, the outfit or simply the mood of the day.

There is no prescribed way to wear the Première, just as there is no single way to move through time. Its enduring appeal lies in this balance between a recognisable design language and the individuality of the person who wears it.

Who is the Première woman when no one is watching? Watch on to get a glimpse into her world, capturing the unhurried moments and instinctive gestures that define her.
