Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton, 68, almost unrecognizable with flowing silver hair in striking new photos

Patricia Heaton’s latest red-carpet appearance is a world away from the brunette look Everybody Loves Raymond fans will remember.

The actress, 68, looked striking with long silver waves as she attended the third Jewish Media Awards at Alice Tully Hall at New York’s Lincoln Center on Thursday, November 5.

Pairing her flowing locks with an emerald-green dress, Patricia embraced a glamorous look that offered quite the contrast to her days playing Debra Barone opposite Ray Romano.

Patricia Heaton’s silver hair takes centre stage

Patricia wore her hair in soft waves, with the silver colour providing a beautiful contrast against the rich green of her outfit.

For viewers who first got to know the actress through the Barone family’s chaotic everyday life, the photographs offer a striking reminder of just how much time has passed since the sitcom’s finale.

Everybody Loves Raymond ended in 2005 after nine seasons, having first arrived on screens in 1996. Patricia’s shorter, darker hairstyles became a familiar part of her character’s look throughout the series.

Her latest outing also had a purpose beyond the red carpet. Patricia was announced as one of the evening’s celebrity presenters, alongside stars including Debra Messing, Selma Blair and Tovah Feldshuh.

Organised by Jew in the City, the awards recognise Jewish representation in entertainment, celebrating the performers, filmmakers and productions bringing those stories to the screen.

Patricia Heaton’s life after Everybody Loves Raymond

Patricia’s television career continued well beyond her time as Debra.

She went on to play Frankie Heck in The Middle, which ran from 2009 to 2018, introducing her to another generation of viewers as the mother at the heart of a very different television household.

Away from the cameras, Patricia shares four grown-up sons, Samuel, John, Joseph and Daniel, with her actor and director husband David Hunt, whom she married in 1990.

The couple have also made a significant change to their home life, moving from Los Angeles to Nashville. Their family connection even extends to their production company, FourBoys Entertainment, named in honour of their sons.

Patricia Heaton’s response to comments about her grey hair

While the latest photographs put Patricia’s silver hair firmly in the spotlight, embracing her natural colour has been an ongoing choice for the actress.

In May, she addressed criticism of her grey hair in an Instagram video, explaining that she had decided to accept the changes in her appearance.

Her response was warm but firm, placing the emphasis on the relationships that matter to her rather than strangers’ opinions.

Speaking in the Instagram video, Patricia said: “The people in my life love me no matter what color my hair is.”
