AT 03.06pm on Saturday, August 3rd, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Ammanford Fire Station were called to an incident at Wern Terrace, Ammanford.

Crew members responded to a fire in the kitchen of a domestic property measuring approximately 10m x 8m.  The fire had been extinguished by the property’s occupants using a bucket of water prior to the arrival of the crew.  Two casualties and one dog were given oxygen therapy, were assessed by crew members and were advised to self-present at hospital.

Crew members utilised two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, one positive pressure ventilation fan for smoke clearance, one thermal imaging camera and one gas monitor.  The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally due to faulty electrics.

The crew left the scene at 4.17pm.
