In his new book, “On The Edge: The Art of Risking Everything,” election forecaster Nate Silver writes that the risk-takers are controlling society — like the tech world and Wall Street. He says this is happening at the expense of more risk-averse institutions, such as the media and government. But so far in the 2024 election, Silver writes that the Democratic Party is making better risk management decisions, starting with the choice to force President Biden out of the race and nominate Vice President Kamala Harris.
