Israeli army destroyed Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon

It is noted that over the past year, the Israeli army has conducted several special operations in the Kfarkela area.

The military carried out targeted raids to investigate and uncover underground terrorist infrastructure, weapon storage facilities, and observation posts, which are among the main strongholds of the terrorist organization Hezbollah.

In recent weeks, during limited and localized operations, the troops of the 769th Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, have expanded their activities to the Kfar Kila region.

The target was the terrorist infrastructure in the center of the village, the destruction of which aims to eliminate the possibility of a ground invasion by terrorists from this area into northern Israel as part of their Conquer the Galilee plan.

“So far, IDF troops have located and destroyed underground terrorist infrastructure, hundreds of Hezbollah military structures, thousands of weapons, enemy intelligence documents, launchers, and tactical equipment belonging to Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces,” the statement reads.

Israeli forces are dismantling the terrorist infrastructure that Hezbollah has built over many years in the Kfarkela area, including within homes and civilian infrastructure.

Israel’s war with the Hezbollah group

With the onset of a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip in the fall of 2023, Hezbollah terrorists began regular shelling of northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded with strikes on southern Lebanon and the capital, Beirut, and since October 1, they have been conducting a ground operation to push militant forces away from the northern border with Israel.

Recently, Israeli forces attacked a financial institution’s office in Beirut that funds Hezbollah operations.

The IDF also eliminated Hezbollah commander Jalal Mustafa Hariri, who commanded militants in the Qana area.

The US urges Israel to reduce the frequency of strikes on Beirut.

Washington also calls for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict surrounding Lebanon.
