Binance flags seven altcoins with monitoring tag; prices slump on delisting fears

Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has newly designated 7 tokens for its monitoring tag, sending related assets sharply lower across the board.

According to blockchain media outlet BeInCrypto on April 14 local time, the measure applies to Harvest Finance (FARM), Highstreet (HIGH), Enzyme (MLN), Resolv (RESOLV), Syscoin (SYS), TrueFi (TRU) and Velodrome Finance (VELODROME).

The monitoring tag is a warning label assigned to assets with high volatility and risk. Exchanges regularly review such assets and may delist them if they fail to meet listing maintenance standards. In a notice, Binance explained the tokens show noticeably higher volatility and risk than other assets.

The market reacted immediately. Syscoin posted the biggest drop, sliding 11.53 percent within minutes of the announcement. Enzyme fell 6.89 percent and Velodrome Finance dropped 6.09 percent. Highstreet fell 5.69 percent, Resolv 4.99 percent and TrueFi 3.80 percent, while Harvest Finance declined 2.00 percent, a comparatively smaller drop.

Investors appear to have become more cautious because the move may not remain a simple warning. Binance has previously used the monitoring tag as a step before delisting. After applying the same tag to Beefy Finance (BIFI) and Measurable Data Token (MDT) in June 2025 and to FUNToken (FUN) and Orchid (OXT) in March 2026, it delisted them in April along with FIO Protocol (FIO) and Wanchain (WAN).

Losses were larger immediately after the actual delisting notice. On April 9, FUNToken slumped 27 percent within minutes and Measurable Data Token fell 22 percent. The precedent is seen as having led to pre-emptive selling this time as well.

Trading conditions were also tightened. Users who want to trade the tokens must pass a quiz every 90 days on Binance’s spot and margin platforms and agree to revised terms of use. The measure is intended to make investors clearly aware of the risks of assets assigned a monitoring tag or seed tag.

In the same notice, Binance said it will remove the seed tag previously assigned to Tether Gold (XAUT). It determined that the token meets the exchange’s standards.

Market participants are watching whether the 7 tokens newly assigned a monitoring tag can maintain listing standards in future regular reviews. As the tag has effectively been used as a pre-delisting warning, review outcomes and price volatility are expected to be key short-term variables.
