LDK MP Avdullah Hotin said that the budget review approach is abusive of public money and is in complete contradiction with the law on public finance management.
The opposition did not support the avoidance of procedures for budget allocations for the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2026,
Hoti said that he was also impressed by the “lack of ethics” on the part of the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, who he said “comes to the podium and says: this is in accordance with the law.”
“You can’t sell it to the public and say this is in accordance with the law and we can continue. Why is this procedure a violation of the law? Even if this review were in accordance with the law, it is an abuse of public money because if you are going to protect citizens with 122 million euros, without any justification as to where you are going to get it and how you are going to spend it. Based on which law will you authorize those 122 million euros?”
Hoti said that he has not seen a “more abusive and frivolous approach” and here he made a brief comment on the statement of PDK MP Përparim Gruda, who a little earlier said that he had higher expectations from Minister Murati.
“Yes, I have no other expectations, MP Gruda had other expectations, maybe he is a younger MP and has other expectations from you. Yes, I am used to you. Abuse after abuse. Legal violation after legal violation”, said Hoti. /Express/
