Amy Greene wins junior gold at Celtic International

Finn Valley AC athlete Amy Greene won the junior race at the Celtic International Cross Country Championships in Scotland.

The Rosses native was the lead under-20 woman in the race, held as part of the senior event.

Greene was sixth overall and the first junior. Greene was also the first Irish runner home in the race, leading the way from the Irish under-23 competitors.

Last month, Greene helped the Irish U20s to a fifth-place finish at the European Cross Country Championships in Laeken Park, Belgium.

The DCU student, who is coached by Helen McCready, was second in the U20 race at the 2023 National Championships at Gowran Park.
