Lucy Renshall

Lucy Renshall is a four-time British champion and represented GB at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Great Britain’s Lucy Renshall won her second Grand Prix title with victory in the Portugal Grand Prix in Odivelas.

The 28-year-old beat Australian top seed Katharina Hecker to top the podium in the -63kg category in the first event of the 2024 Judo World Tour.

Renshall secured victory when Hecker was given a third shido for stepping out of the contest area.

Britain’s Kelly Petersen Pollard was fifth in the -70kg category after losing to Germany’s Miriam Butkereit.

A close contest went all the way to a golden score where Butkereit registered a waza-ari in the opening minute to seal the win and take the bronze medal.
