The 2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup gets underway on the fourth and final day of the Cheltenham festival as the iconic horse racing event draws to a close.

70,000 spectators will descend upon Gloucestershire for the climactic day, with over 55,000 Irish viewers expected to take up the majority of the audience.




Manchester United managerial legend Sir Alex Ferguson celebrated two winners on Thursday as owner of Monmiral for Paul Nicholls. Captain Guinness picked up the Champion Chase victory with Rachael Blackmore on Wednesday.

The 2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup race takes place at 3.30pm on Friday, March 16.

What TV channel is the 2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup?

The 2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup will be shown live on ITV1.

ITV have coverage of Cheltenham and will be showing the other races of the day, starting at 1pm.

The Gold Cup course at Cheltenham is three miles, two furlongs and 70 yards long. This is the equivalent of 5,294 metres.
