The Gold Cup is always the centre piece of Cheltenham Festival and this year’s will be no different.
It is one of the most famous horse races in the world and the winners are forever remembered as heroes.
Galopin Des Champs blew the competition away in last year’s race to ensure W P Mullins claimed victory, guided by Paul Townend.
Galopin Des Champs will be back to try and defend the title while there will be another set of riders ready to make a name for themselves this year.
Gold Cup 2024: Date and start time
This year’s Gold Cup will be held on the final day of Cheltenham, which is Friday, March 15.
The action is set to get underway at 3:30pm.
The first race of the last day will start at 1:30pm, meaning the Gold Cup is in the middle of the schedule.
