‘Filter Caps’ by Ogilvy Colombia Takes Home GOLD LION In Sustainable Development Goals


At the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Ogilvy Colombia was recognised as Colombian agency of the year, achieving GOLD LION in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) category, one Bronze in Brand & Experience, and eight SL, for its symbolic campaign “Filter Caps”.

In Colombia, almost four million people live in desert areas that do not have the necessary hydration resources. After undergoing a thorough process of hard technical analysis, Ogilvy Colombia created and developed Filter Caps. In partnership with FILSA, they produce 1.000 biodegradable devices capable of recovering more than 1.8M litres of water in a year, potentially impacting more than 10.000 people.

Filter Caps is the first 100% biodegradable device capable of recovering and mineralizing water to make it safe for consumption. Crafted with 3D additive technology and made from sweet corn starch-based resin, Filter Caps sport a universal and lightweight transportable design ensuring worldwide usability. Filter Caps work from layers of metals, minerals, and natural substrates, retaining bacteria and impurities, and ending with a layer that mineralizes the water. It also provides characteristics of alkaline, mineralized, and hydrogen water.
