Chandigarh: Miscreants broke into a house in Sector 37, Chandigarh and decamped with cash and gold ornaments. Sector 39 police have registered a case against unidentified persons and started a probe.
In her complaint to police, Rajinder Kaur, a resident of Sector 37, said miscreants entered her house by breaking the locks of the main door and decamped with Rs 74,500 in cash, one gold kitty set, four gold rings, four pairs of gold earrings, one gold chain, one gold coin and one gold mangalsutra.Efforts are on to trace the accused.

An elderly woman was violently robbed in Moti Nagar, west Delhi, on Oct 3. The suspects were identified and apprehended using CCTV footage and local intelligence. The stolen earrings were recovered from a jewellery shop. The suspects, Himanshu Sagar and Ramesh Kumar, have criminal records, with further investigation ongoing.

Gold burgled from two houses in Trichy
Two separate burglary incidents in Trichy resulted in the theft of over 25 sovereigns of gold ornaments. V Subramani’s house was broken into, and 13 sovereigns were stolen. Separately, M Rani was swindled out of 14.25 sovereigns by conmen posing as government officials. Police are investigating both cases.
