There are four central ways to obtain gold in Solo Leveling: ARISE: selling Artifacts, gate mining, sweeping treasure gates, and collecting Daily Activity Funds. The most direct way to raise your gold is by selling Artifacts, which becomes available after Chapter Five.
You can sell items in your inventory by opening the Artifacts menu and auctioning your selected items. After you unlock gate missions and sweep, keep a lookout for Dungeon Breaks, Red Gates, and Treasure Gates. Both are excellent not only for farming gold but also for gaining equally valuable XP.
